Geethanjali is a tale of twin sisters. The story revolves around Geeta and Anjali, Geetha being the elder one. An overly possessive elder sibling tries to sabotage on everything in her younger sister, Anjali's life. Geetha being a rude and adamant person always tries threatening Anjali and takes control of all her decisions. Anjali, on the other hand is a very soft natured girl who adjusts her attitude according to the situation. As they grow up like this, there is a fear in the mind of Anjali about her elder sister. Moving on, as they grow up, Geetha and Anjali falls in love with the same man - Arjun. However, due to circumstances, Arjun and Anjali get married secretly in a temple as Arjun confesses his love for her, rejecting Geetha. Geetha, heartbroken tries to find the reason behind the rejection only to find out that Arjun and Anjali are married. With her given nature and mindset, at the spur of moment, Geetha commits suicide. Story is about how Geetha tries to trouble Anjali even after her death and how will the couple overcome problems together.
